Hostel

The student’s hostel is part of Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, a constituent institution of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research (SDUAHER) provide accommodation to the students wishing to reside in the hostels.

Hostels are independent units with respect to its internal administration under the overall supervision of the council of Wardens & Hostel Management. The hostels are situated within the campus and have separate hostel office and mess within the hostel premises.

There are Men’s and Women’s Hostels namely:

Under Graduate Hostel
AHS Hostel
Post Graduate Hostel
Resident Hostel

There are 3 Kitchens, one in Under Graduate Men’s Hostel, one in Undergraduate Women’s Hostel & other in Post Graduate Men’s Hostel with dining hall attached.

The general menu for each month is decided by the hostility representatives selected by the hostel committee.
The special menu is introduced & served on all important festivals.
The food hygiene is well maintained, the food handlers are provided with aprons, head caps, hand gloves etc.
The Mess employees are subjected to medical examination & compulsory deworming tablets are given once in 6 months.

The other facilities include RO-UV Plant for drinking & cooking purposes, Reading rooms, Recreation hall with TV facility, Gym, Newspaper facility, Wi-Fi facility & Visitors lounge.

The Hostels are monitored & supervised by the Hostel Committees, which constitutes Principal, Wardens & student representatives, which in turn is monitored by the Hostel Advisory Committee.
